I tried but I see I failed to make it clear that I accept there are many factors sufficiently dealt with by other writers. I concentrate on the swing voters most of whom are in the flyover states. This chapter is an overview. I'll go into causes that are unexplained. But I will not review the causes that are so often explained in the media in later sections. You can see an example of how I treat the subjects in my section on tax avoidance. Although the 15% global tax is vaunted as a solution to profit shifting, Switzerland has already seen the loophole. It charges 15%, but then gives the businesses research grants to reduce the tax to a minimum. Have you seen that in any of the media reports about this supposed solution?
